Anheuser-Busch - Fodido

According to Babelfish fodido is Portuguese for FUCKED!

Go back and read about the blood letting that took place after the merger of AmBev and InterBrew. It was nasty. St. Louis is in for a wild ride while these decisions are made by Carlos Brito. He would be the Brazilian that speaks Portuguese and runs the Belgian based company. Now he will be slitting throats in Missouri as well. Grupo Modelo (they brew Corona) should be thankful that the 50% A-B stake is non-controlling.

I really can't stand to drink American commercial beers any longer. Back before I knew better I always drank Coors and Bud. Never did I have a taste for Miller. Their beer was like cold piss and lacked flavor (that's what it is you SABMiller dinks, FLAVOR, not TASTE. You T A S T E the F L A V O R) so I would only drink it if it were free.

My money went to Coors or A-B. Then I discovered craft beer and home brewing. It was a great revelation about what beer should taste (that's what you do you SABMiller dinks, you drink the beer and T A S T E the F L A V O R) like. Now I don't buy any of it.

Now A-B is owned (soon) by InBev. Becks and Bass are OK, but Stella Artois? Please. The King of Beers (by worldwide sales) will soon enough be bed buddies with Stella Artois. BRILLIANT!

It is really sad what Dubbya has done to our dollar. This deal should be reversed (nearly half of all sales for A-B InBev will come from the United States. The rest of the InBev worldwide business doesn't outsell the A-B brands in the US. But InBev is buying A-B) but because we have a dumb fucker Dubbya in the White House our dollar won't buy much more than penny candy on the international front. Thanks George!

Don't look for (Dubbya's) Justice Department to step in here and block this thing. Justice hasn't met a merger yet that they didn't like. Well, there was that Dubai port deal thing, but they seemed OK with that until the entire country pissed it's pants.

If you're a drunk and the price of Bud meets the needs of your addiction then by all means, choke it down. If you are a beer lover, as I am, there are still a number of American owned breweries out there. This is the list of the new top three American breweries:

1. Boston Beer Company, makers of Sam Adams. This is my "every day drinker". Their Summer Ale, Winter Lager, Winterfest and Cherry Wheat are some of my favorites.

2. Yuengling. I've not had much of it but their Yuengling Traditional Lager is really good. This is in fairly short supply around me but is available at the local party supply store.

3. Sierra Nevada Brewing. I love their Pale Ale, Wheat and Summerfest beers. All three are in pretty good supplies at the local party supply store here.

These beers will set you back a bit more than Bud, Coors or Piss Miller, but as with all things in life you get what you pay for. Great tasting beer with a lot of flavor and you are supporting American companies and putting Americans to work.

Rev. Jesse loves Obama too

The Rev. Jesse Jackson apologized Wednesday for saying Barack Obama is “talking down to black people” during what Jackson thought was a private conversation before a FOX News interview Sunday.

He also said:

“I want to cut his nuts off.”

WOW! Nut cutting? Seriously?

Of course Obama is talking down to black people. He is a politician that needs to get elected. You win primaries by appealing to your base and you win elections by playing to the middle. What the hell did Jesse think Obama was going to do? Run on the all black issues all the time platform? That would work really well I'm sure.

Just another politician

"To be clear: Barack will support a filibuster of any bill that includes retroactive immunity for telecommunications companies."

Today Sen. Obama voted for H.R. 6304 which gave retroactive immunity for telecommunications companies. He was against it before he was for it, or something like that.

Just another example of a guy that will say whatever he needs to say to get elected.

We can't drill our way out

Because more oil won't solve the problem and bring prices down. No offshore drilling, no drilling in Alaska and no drilling in the Rockies. So says Pelosi, Reid and a lot of other democrats. More oil isn't the answer.

So what did Pelosi suggest? More oil. No shit. Right here in the USA Today:

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi called on President Bush to release oil from the government's emergency reserve to knock down gasoline prices she says "are helping push the economy toward recession."

So more oil isn't the answer, but more oil is. Makes perfect sense to me.
